Reservoir Engineering Studies:

Management of oil and gas reservoirs includes all the activates of exploration, drilling, production, processing & separation of oil & gas and finally refining or exporting.
In planning for improved recovery the following questions arise:
1 - How much is the amount of gas & oil-in-place in a reservoir ?
2 - What are the physical & chemical properties of the fluids in a reservoir ?
3 - How is the geological structure and stratigraphic layering and different types of reservoir rock ?
4 - How much of gas or oil could be produced ?
5 - What are the reservoir mechanisms, and production methods ?
6 - How many wells would be required ?
7 - At what location the new wells are to be drilled ?
8 - When do we expect the wells to yield excess gas or water production ?
9 - How to reduce the excess gas or water production in the wells ?
10- What would be the optimum condition for design of separation facilities ?
11- Is the reservoir energy sufficient for production ?
12- How can we improve the reservoir energy (i.e. : gas injection, water injection, etc)?
13- When , where and how much to inject the fluids if required ?
14 - What are the main economic parameters in bringing the reservoir to production?
For answering the above question the comprehensive reservoir studies including the major following activates are performed.
