Determining Iran's optimal gas export markets, pricing regime and optimal gas consumption in the national economy

Iran holds the world's second largest gas reserves after Russia, enjoying a strategic geographical location for the transit of energy consignments such as natural gas carriers.
The project is primarily aimed at studying the future of the state economy, determining the ratio of the nation's gas consumption to the total fuel consumption and assessing mechanisms of export and transit of gas to the major consumer markets.
The research also eyes a raft of short-term minor goals such as assessment of investment security, recognition of the hardware (operational) and software (technological, etc) compatibilities of other nations and their experiences in this discipline.
The implementation of the above goals would clarify the economic and non-economic indices, affected by the gas exports and transit trade, shedding light on the apparent consequences within a clear framework.
Thus, the research has studied the developments of the past 15-20 years and the prospects of the next 20-25 years in the countries which might have a say in the demand and supply of natural gas in the world because of their geographical location, or compete Iran's supply of natural gas.
Then, it draws on such subjects as reviewing the LNG industry; status of the outstanding states in terms of politics, demand, supply and natural gas trade; impacts of LNG exports on economic and non-economic indices (income, jobs creation, substitutive effects, investment, etc) in the mentioned states as well as in Iran in six chapters.
As a matter of fact, the studies envisioned in the current research should be so comprehensive that would offer internationally viable solutions for each of the major topic, in order to help the decision-makers choose the optimal gas markets in the short term and the long run. In the home front, the research results should clarify the role of LNG in the national energy basket and provide clear vistas for the nation.
